I got badly tilted these last few weeks and lost about 400 points of rating, from 1150 to 750 (chess blitz). although i could see that the lower i got, the more mistakes my opponents made, i still lost almost every game, and it took me a while to get back to playing correctly.

What you are likely witnessing is "sandbaggers" (strong players on new accounts), rapid improvers (who studied intensively), time control specialists (some excel at blitz bullet), and engine assisted players (this happens, unfortunately).
