We have created more than 30 addons that can supercharge your 3cx phone system. wallboards, dialers, recording management, on call services, emergency notifications, overhead paging, reporting data and many more. We use voip tools for a few things that 3cx didn't offer out of the box wrap up codes, on call manager, data exporter so we can create powerbi reports. it can be frustrating to get it setup and working right but once you do it just sits there and works. As soon as i stopped the "voiptools" service everything burst back into life we've now moved to "mrvoip", all we really wanted was something to export all call data, time the call started and ended, was it inbound or outbound, etc. To enable our tools to communicate with the relay remotely, you must open (port forward) tcp 8801 on your firewall, pointing to the 3cx server. if you use the built in linux firewall (iptables nftables), the setup program will attempt to open port 8801 for you.
