After combing through hundreds of impressive, insightful and creative entries, we’ve decided on the winners of the world data visualization prize 2019. conducted in partnership with the world government summit, the prize focuses on how governments are improving citizens’ lives. Above and beyond the very important details of what data is being used and how, this case emphasizes even more important and alarming issues. The winner will be announced by the judges at festival de datos in uruguay in november 2023, and will be invited to present their idea to the data for development community at one of the three plenaries. the shortlisted submissions will also be showcased in an exhibition at the festival.

My entry for the world data visualization prize 2019 has won first prize in the 'static image' category! i am super happy, very honoured and feel quite lucky that my charts have been selected among hundreds of submissions. the winning entry is on the theme of 'small states' and development.
