Understanding valve index requires examining multiple perspectives and considerations. is the valve index still a relevant and reliable headset in 2024. i just ordered a valve index for the first time the other day and i wanted to know if its still a relevant/reliable headset in this year even though its nearly 5 years old. Should i just ship it back and order a second hand one from CEX or Ebay or should i just stay with this and not ship it back or should i ship it back?

The valve index is still the best vr headset I have ever owned. In this context, i didn't have to spend an additional 100+ dollars on accessories that should've been included with the initial price! In conclusion, I honestly believe the Valve Index is the best kit you could currently get for an enthusiast VR experience. Some may think otherwise, but for the 1K price tag, I've had an incredible experience.

$1000 for below quest 2 resolution is a bad deal. Furthermore, with that being said, everything else about the Index beats the Vive Pro 2. It has better audio (microphone and headphones), better controllers, and better refresh rate. PSA: If you have sparkling pixels recently there is a fix - Reddit.

I think after dealing with a bunch of similar support tickets they probably looked into what exactly was causing the issue and rolled out a firmware update to mitigate the problem, and now it sounds like the index can actually modulate its signal appropriately to compensate for some of these newer GPU display port implementations or something.
