In this chapter, we present a survey of the security issues in wsns. first we outline the constraints of wsns, security requirements in these networks, and various possible attacks and the corresponding countermeasures. then a holistic view of the security issues is presented. This paper aims to explore the security challenges faced by wsns in iot environments, review existing security protocols and techniques, and examine emerging solutions such as machine learning, block chain, and energy efficient cryptography that can improve the security posture of these networks. Recent work has focused on the design and analysis of network protocols for wired and wireless communica tions, sensor networks, network security, agent based technology with collaborative environments, and middleware.
