Wrong Orientation Pix4dmapper Pix4d Community It seems that the model is not only wrongly oriented but has some double layers. from the screenshots, it seems that the tilting was introduced at the calibration step. I am trying to get my head around questionable accuracies between my gcp coordinates and positions in pix4d. it seems that i am encountering larger errors than i would anticipate.

Images table: displays the selected images, as well as the group, position, position accuracy and orientation of each image and if the image is enabled or not (an enabled image will be taken into account for processing). We normally do our processing in pix4dmapper, with a point cloud & ortho image. we apply a site calibration (as we work in a local grid) and also use gcps. problem is, with the oblique flight and the number of images, pix4d is struggling to process it it (as in it crashes we have very high spec laptops too). I’m just starting out with pix4d mapper and have run into a snag. i recently completed a survey and 6 of my camera shots, out of 877, are shown at a goofy angle.

We would need to take a look at the quality report to determine a cause but you may be able to fixs the issue by setting your image vertical accuracies to 0.1m and selecting accurate geolocation and orientation for your step 1 calibration method. I’ve come to learn that pix4d mapper does not correctly process x, y & z coordinates in geotag data for omega, phi and kappa values. i first noticed this when i used a logging device with an imu.
