Further, we released a new early wildfire dataset of real scenes, the sklfs wildfire test, which can comprehensively evaluate the performance of wildfire detection model from three levels: bounding box, image, and video. By using and expanding on this guide dataset, research can develop new data driven fire detection, fire segmentation, and fire modeling techniques. In this critical brief review, we explore the pivotal role of computer vision in wildfire detection, following the prisma methodology and focusing on 35 key studies published between 2018 and 2023.
