Why I Moved To Substack
Why I Moved To Substack And How It Changed My Content Strategy From convertkit to medium to ghost — i tested it all. here's why substack became the home for my thought leadership, podcast, and growing community. I have never seen such a creator friendly platform that also excels in process and technology. here's why everyone is coming to substack for valid reasons.
Why And How We Moved Our Blog To Substack When substack first started, they got early journalists on board by paying them to seed the platform with quality writing. but this time, they seem to be going after short form video creators, which says a lot about where they think their future lies. I think the main reason i have chosen substack is the community. wordpress feels very lonely, and here, i feel as though i’ve stumbled upon a room filled with ‘my’ people. After much thought, i’ve decided to publish all of my work exclusively on substack starting this year. why? while i love medium for some things (and my followers, i adore you), i’ve realized. Substack says it had its biggest week during the 2024 presidential election, with an 82 percent jump in paid subscriptions and a 25 percent increase in app activity. all of that was by design.

So why if i loved the experience so much and i’ve been publishing on beehiiv for so long have a decided to migrate platform and moved to substack? here are some things that, in my perspective, make substack a better fit for me right now:. Writing is no longer a hobby for me — it’s my livelihood. expect essays and commentary at the intersection of work, business, and personal growth from the perspective of a financial reporter building a media startup. to be clear, the majority of my work will remain free. First, substack will have a very organized format and specific goal and membership group feel. secondly, the blog has been hard to justify making a priority because it doesn’t directly contribute to vmp sales. So, i always have to use cryptic language, and i need to constantly dance around the topic i genuinely love to write about. here are some additional reasons for my move. and why m will still.
