Download a printable version. the direct and engaging experiences of hands on, inquiry based science draw out students’ sense of wonder, and readily lend themselves to conversation. students are excited by their discoveries, motivating them to share, discuss, and debate their ideas with others. Students can use “chalk talk” to collaboratively share and refine the essential steps for solving equations. this not only summarizes the key concepts but also allows students to identify and clarify any misunderstandings. The "chalk talk," used primarily in the life sciences, is basically a discussion of your research agenda, generally without help from slides or formal visual presentation.
