Heterodox academy was founded in 2015 by jonathan haidt, chris martin, and nicholas rosenkranz, in reaction to their observations about how the absence of viewpoint diversity was reducing the quality, reliability, and integrity of research and scholarship. With a goal to change campus culture and expand viewpoint diversity, western joined 22 other colleges and universities across the united states and canada in heterodox academy’s campus community network.
