Welcome Dwgtf Abenaki water company used the grant and loan to upgrade the distribution system and add isolation valves for their abenaki tioga belmont water system. the project replaced 350 feet of 2 inch water main that now allows the distribution system to operate in a loop, to improve water quality and system resiliency. The dwgtf is intended to provide protection, preservation, and enhancement of the drinking water and groundwater resources of the state award grants and loans to projects on a competitive basis. The dwgtf is the parent program to a variety of specialized sub programs, providing grants and low interest loans to qualifying applicants. The water assistance for natural disaster impacts to low income residential well owners (wand) program is funded by a $500,000 grant from the drinking water and groundwater trust fund (dwgtf). applications are available on the dwgtf website.
