Weird Science Dc Comics Death Of Hawkman 6 Review And Spoilers Sensing something is amiss, strange finds an ally in hawkman, who also is trying anything possible to avert war. don’t miss the start of this sensational new six issue miniseries!. Explore death of hawkman #1 (2016), a gripping sci fi adventure featuring adam strange and hawkman amidst interplanetary conflict and deep emotional stakes. For a series entitled death of hawkman, it’s definitely a bold move by the creators to have the title character play little more than cameo in its maiden issue. that said, it just flat out works. it perhaps shouldn’t, but i can’t deny that it does. After visiting a laundry list of locations in the dc universe strange is forced to return home with no answers and is shortly whisked off to, much to his surprise, an utterly destroyed rann. unbeknownst to adam, his issues with returning to rann are not on earth’s side. Warning: spoilers ahead i try my best to avoid spoilers, but this is a review so there is always that chance. this issue begins on earth, but it primarily takes place on adam strange's wife's home planet, rann. we are brought in to the story in the futre, where rann is in ruin. Written by marc andreyko, death of hawkman is interesting in that this first issue is actually mostly about adam strange. yeah, there’s a little switch in that the issue is mostly a flashback telling how strange wound up side by side with hawkman in the middle of a battle.
