Weird Code By Gostikvlad So i've got a wp site that is being managed by a contractor and all of a sudden the wp login page is showing a weird code snippet at the top of the page. i'm not sure the last time he did any updates but he is saying that the site was hacked. I cannot log in to edit my website and there are lines of weird html coding or something at the top of my site when i go to view it online…. For now the website looks normal, i just get this annoying code added into a text editor in wordpress. is there anything i can do without spending days to fix it?. I had the same problem. please allow me to share the “fix” for the benefit of others. wordpress now includes a plugin called “ plausible analytics ”. it added an html code in my default header… under header js. comment out that line and the strange characters will disappear. hope it helps you.
