Madison Wool In this two day introductory workshop you will learn how to warp the loom, weave simple shapes, weave various techniques to create particular effects, and explore color and texture. Madison Wool Pat teaches beginning weaving on your loom in your home, or on one of her looms in her home. she also teaches frame weaving on a variety of looms – from potholders, to pin looms, to beginner tapestry. The weaving workshop with lauren paul, hosted by the textile arts center of madison, offers participants an opportunity to explore fiber arts through hands on experience with handheld looms. Come catch your breath, and let us weave the day away! you will learn how to use a rigid heddle loom. from start to finish. you will see how to get yarn on to the loom and how to that works. we will explore basic planning, measuring, wrapping, and weft techniques that create a beautiful textile. We sell spinning wheels and weaving looms, have lessons in knitting, crochet, spinning, felting, dyeing, and weaving, and have indoor and outdoor spaces for classes and events we have loose fibers and roving for sale, and a drum carder to blend it for use as well.
