We Are Developers 2019 Tomtom We entered 2019 with a goal: to build a community of users who wanted to learn and use our maps apis. with every new product update, marketing campaign or event that we participated in, we had to take a step back and ask, “how will this serve the developers in our community?”. We received nearly 20 entries, all of which were inspiring in their own way. ultimately, two winning teams were selected for their innovative, out of the box uses of tomtom maps apis. Tomtom's developer portal makes it very easy for developers to get access to the apis, integrate the apis (with support from tomtom’s tutorials and functional examples) and commercially license and use the apis via online credit card payments. Each february, developer week takes place in san francisco. it is one of the largest developer events in the us, and i was lucky to represent tomtom during that week.
