Color Theory In Watercolor Painting Located just outside raquette lake village, the center is the ideal spot for gorgeous autumnal views of the lake and surrounding adirondack mountains. in this rustic setting we will learn about the adirondack area through art and water media painting. The class starts on january 18 and will run saturday mornings through february 1 from 9:30 11:30 a.m. instructor janet nye vedder will lead this zoom class and will show how to explore and create vibrant colors and captivating neutrals with watercolor paint as a medium. Using saturated bold strokes of color, participants will create this sweeping view of the adirondacks. this painting (detail) done by the renowned adirondack artist, rockwell kent (1882 1971), will allow participants to practice cloud formation, mountain peaks and depths, and brushstroke techniques that will bring drama to their piece.
