Water security is not just about avoiding scarcity—it underpins resilience, economic stability, and disaster risk reduction. without water, economies falter, food production collapses, public health deteriorates. In addition to aqueduct, wps develops innovative tools that identify and address water related security risks, linking hydrological, socioeconomic and political factors to pinpoint changes in short term water availability and their potential impacts on society. Our aim was to build capacity across the water sector, empowering communities, water supply managers and operators, decision makers, and other stakeholders in the water sector to be able to tackle water security challenges beyond the scope and duration of the hub.
