Why I Quit My Dream Job After 17 Years However, around the time when i decided to quit my 9 to 5 office job, i used to watch videos and read stories like this one perpetually. it helped to keep my dream alive and reassured me that everything would be alright. To explore the depths of my mind and express whatever is there. there are no rules in this new artist era, it’s just me learning how to bring my vision to life through whatever medium piques my interest. It wasn’t planned, and i wasn’t able to process what was happening, and many months later i’m finally able to start reflecting on the whole situation. in july 2022, i quit my full time job to become self employed. After many years of being employed in manufacturing, where i worked twelve hour rotating shifts, i was finally able to follow my dream of being an artist at 42 years old.
