Audubon delta is an integral part of this extensive network, working to benefit our region's critical migratory and residential bird habitats, including fourche creek, the mississippi and louisiana gulf coast, the mississippi river delta, and communities across arkansas, louisiana, and mississippi. The audubon delta – ms stewardship steering committee will meet in the café at lynn meadows discovery center from 10am to 12pm. 🐣help us brainstorm activities to promote awareness, provide outreach and recruit new volunteers to help in our breeding stewardship efforts! all volunteers, with or without experience are welcome. We are always seeking volunteers to help with our monitoring and stewardship efforts. there are a variety of tasks we need help with, and time commitment is fully flexible. if anyone is interested please reach out to amanda douglas for more information. Volunteers are needed beginning now through august to protect beach nesting birds and educate beach goers. audubon can provide a tee shirt, chair, umbrella, binoculars, and educational hand outs to all interested parties. Volunteers meet at 8:00 am during summer and fall, and at 9:00 am during winter and spring, near the maintenance barn. participants are advised to wear long sleeves, pants, and closed toe shoes, and to bring water, sunscreen, and hats (see our calendar).
