Vectorman is definitely nostalgic because i played through it many years ago. i don’t remember if i beat the whole game and if i had to guess, i probably didn’t. it’s a very difficult title which helps to make up for its length. the concept for the game is really sound and i enjoy the gameplay.

Still, the most recent crop of genesis drops has vectorman – a game that has always been a favorite of sega’s for modern reissue (i’m somewhat surprised it’s taken this long to come to switch) – and i’ve long harbored a deep and semi reverent nostalgia for vectorman so i had to give it another shot. That's right; vectorman. for those of you who don't know, vectorman the game came out for the sega genesis back in 1995, critically acclaimed for the pre rendered shapes, incredible gameplay and level design, and of course, my favorite aspect of any game; the music. Vectorman controls like a swift samus, though with less moves at his disposal. the stages have a good mix of platforming and exploration. the music is good and of course the visuals were impressive for the time, which is what nearly everybody says about this game.
