Circuitscape borrows algorithms from electronic circuit theory to predict connectivity in heterogeneous landscapes. omniscape offers a “coreless” approach by applying circuitscape iteratively in a moving window to predict omni directional connectivity. We applied different fluvial connectivity indices to characterize, at reach scale, structural connectivity, and identify barriers within each hydrographic network. Here we describe 35 metrics that can quantify connectivity of focal patches or of networks and monitor changes over time in an ecoscape (landscape or seascape).
