Urban Triangle Park Projects Site Workshop Developed by seattle parks and funded in part by an adjacent project as a public benefit associated with an alley vacation, the new urban park provides much needed recreational amenities in downtown seattle’s rapidly growing denny triangle neighborhood. This park will serve downtown businesses and residences, providing a seamless transition between the park and the adjacent development. the design includes an open lawn, new central play structure, seating edge, lighting, ada access, places for vendors, landscaping, and other park elements.

Urban Triangle Park Projects Site Workshop Most recently, cambridge, massachusetts, has its first urban forestry demonstration project at triangle park, in the kendall square neighborhood. Civil design elements such as stormwater infrastructure with bioretention planters, rain gardens, and permeable pavement elevate this downtown park, popular among workers, residents, and visitors alike. Urban triangle park opened to the public in 2019 and provided a much needed gathering space for the growing south lake union area. the park features play areas, a custom designed playground (to be installed), and interactive signs that rename the park every day. All this presented a series of challenges for transforming a compacted site with urban fill and contaminated waste to a healthy and thriving ecosystem that could support the growth of trees, shrubs, and groundcovers, and become the new center of the nearby community.
