Urban Resilience Program Resilient Cities Network Our multi city programs support cities with developing their urban resilience plans. the resilient cities network supports member cities with the development of their city resilience strategies. we use a participatory approach that is led by the city’s chief resilience officer. The temasek foundation urban resilience program (tfurp), a joint collaboration between temasek foundation, centre for liveable cities, and resilient cities network, is a project accelerator targeted at city leaders and practitioners. The framework identifies 22 goals that describe the fundamental attributes of a resilient system. the crf also offers up case studies of resilient cities from within the r cities network which have worked to address the most important shocks and stresses in their context. This resource empowers cities to make data driven, equitable decisions that enhance the resilience of all community members, particularly those facing the most vulnerabilities. the guide encourages a holistic approach to community selection, addressing both immediate shocks and long term stresses.

What is urban resilience? the capacity of individuals, communities, institutions, businesses and systems within a city to survive, adapt and grow no matter what kinds of chronic stresses and acute shocks they experience. The below products summarize our evaluation of the program and forecast how its lessons on urban resilience may be applied to local, regional, and national governments moving forward. The rcn is the city led organisation that came forth from this global network, now comprising 97 member cities, most of which also took part in 100rc, and aims to continue supporting cities and their cro’s in future proofing their communities and critical infrastructure. Resilient cities network (r cities) is an independent non profit organization advancing urban resilience solutions to protect vulnerable communities. r cities is built on the legacy of the 100 resilient cities programme pioneered by the rockefeller foundation.
