People Uci Rehabilitation And Augmentation Lab She is specifically interested in understanding the neuromuscular limitations of people with motor impairment and incorporating assistive robotic devices for gait augmentation and rehabilitation. We are particularly interested in creating technology that enhances rehabilitation and gait training after motor impairment, as well as understanding the mechanisms behind motor learning. we are currently seeking up to two doctoral (ph.d.) students to join our research team, starting in fall 2024. Our research focuses on advancing wearable assistive technologies that actively engage with human movement during walking. we study how device mechanics, control strategies, and feedback modalities shape user behavior, comfort, and learning. Work in his lab strives to understand how the basic properties of skeletal muscle have been shaped by evolution and how shifts in these properties affect neuromuscular health and performance.
