I think this game straddles it rather nicely. running a hospital and all its minutiae is satisfying, often overwhelming but never overloading. the ui is simple, understated and the controls work fine. it makes sense to play, and satisfyingly it seems every menu is never more than two clicks away.

Sound effects could be more varied. the game (so far) consists of a variety of hospital locations that you build from scratch. each location gives you one or a few new game mechanics or rooms. I played two point hospital in 2019, a year after it’s initial release, but i decided to revisit it. i think this is well worth the playthrough, even for a few hours. Verdict two point hospital takes us right back to the nineties glory days of the management sim, with compelling gameplay, eccentric humour and a healthy dose of gently anarchic fun. Two point hospital’s amazing illnesses and fun gameplay make it highly recommended, especially for its rather british atmosphere and commentary. you won’t go wrong by picking up a copy, and if you enjoy it, there are always its sequels, two point campus, and the recently released two point museum.
