Will there ever be a true breakthrough, will there ever be a lasting peace between humans and other races? is death the end that we believe it to be? not all of these questions get answered, there’s the feel that there is more to come, and that there are still answers to be had.

"the rare second book in a series that improves the first in hindsight, alternately thrilling and gut wrenching, truth of the divine will put your expectations in its crosshairs and then nuke them from orbit. Truth of the divine is a 2021 science fiction novel by american author lindsay ellis, and the second novel in her noumena series. [1] it was published in october 2021 by st. martin's press. There was so much going on in this book (and all of it done well), i don’t even know how to start summing it up. i’m tempted to just do the bullet points thing. in fact, you know what, fuck it. i’mma do that. here are some bullet points: interspecies friendship. interspecies love. intense philosophical ideas. cool as heck aliens. Wow, this book is dark, and i love it. i'm glad ellis gave a huge trigger warning at the start. while none of this book's context actually triggered me in any way, i know it would for many people. this book dives deep into heavy topics, more so than i have read in any other book before.
