Transition Year Project Programme 2023 Weightlifting Ireland All sections of the programme are carried out by leading professionals in their respective areas with a wide variety of topics – including general practice, heart surgery, pathology, paediatrics, forensic medicine, transplants, obstetrics and gynaecology being covered during the programme. Transition year is a one year programme which provides a bridge to enable students make the transition from junior to senior cycle. it encourages personal and social development and recognises the need for students to grow in independence. Provides students with the opportunity to develop their individual gifts and strengths. promotes the holistic development of our students by building confidence, self esteem, independence and maturity. it encourages both personal and social development. During transition year there are two set blocks of work experience – november and february. students find their own work experience and contact the businesses directly themselves. this gives students a chance to experience the process of applying for a job.
