Transformative Learning Artofit Arts learning fuels transformative education that helps increase students’ capacity and motivation to build a more peaceful and sustainable world. however, to fully realize that potential, teachers must mindfully structure and support educational experiences to optimize what students will take away from them. This article explores the transformative learning experiences facilitated by art education and their influence on student transitions within educational settings.
Transformative Learning Artofit By creating a stimulating learning environment, fostering curiosity and exploration, promoting a growth mindset, encouraging self directed learning, and integrating learning into daily routines, we empower children to embrace lifelong learning with enthusiasm and confidence. In this collaborative autoethnography, we, two early career academics used arts based methods to explore and transform our understanding of scholarly impact. we began by narrating the disorienting dilemma we experienced while preparing our review, tenure, and promotion portfolios. This study explores the integration of key transformative learning theory (tlt) principles into design education to foster visual literacy (vl) and promote awareness of environmental issues among undergraduate students. We focus on how transformative learning emerges through central features in gustafsson&haapoja’s work: (1) their investigation and reimagination of the museum, an institution historically tied to notions of humanity and human action; and (2) their critical dissection of the complex relationship between western centric conceptualisations of. Edagogical foundation: transformative learning theory (tlt) although a growing body of evi dence supports the use of art muse um based teaching, further research and critical analyses are needed to better understand its theore. In this paper, we explore the role of art as a driver for societal transformation in a changing climate and consider how an experiment with change can facilitate reflection on relationships between individual change and systems change. This article provides an overview of the literature on transformative learning over the previous 45 years, describes its current condition as a relatively mature collection of theories, and calls for greater clarity, new iterations of theory, and productive and substantive steps forward.
