The present paper seeks to address gaps in transfer student research by examining critical elements of student engagement, namely learning engagement and school engagement, that may have implications for transfer students’ academic success as measured by semester grades.

This study explored some of the ways transfer students perceived the university and the business program, identified their academic experience and engagement, and comprehended their career readiness. Ences that influence their satisfaction with their academic, social, and overall college experience. this report presents a data driven examination of what factors influence transfer student satisfact. Creating additional opportunities for students to gain tsc, develop social supports, and boost self efficacy for transfer and academic success can improve the transfer experience for both internal and external transfer students.

Transfer students have different needs than freshmen, and transfer student services is here to help them successfully transition to their new home at the university, with support for both new and returning transfer students. This study contributes to the gap in the literature by examining transfer students’ experiences and understanding of what constitutes success as they author and reconfigure their identities in the university. Summary: transfer students are a significant and growing population of u.s. postsecondary students. during the transfer process, students often encounter multiple academic and social barriers, which can affect their academic and social success.
