Thrive Camfed Out of every 100 girls from poor families, just five will complete secondary school. that’s where you come in! with your help, we can not only support girls to enroll in school, but ensure that they truly thrive in their education – and beyond. By 2030, camfed will support 5 million girls to thrive in secondary school across tanzania, zambia, zimbabwe, ghana, malawi and one additional country.
Thrive Camfed "when women take action, communities thrive," says this international non governmental, non profit organization founded in 1993 whose mission is to eradicate poverty in africa through the education of girls and the empowerment of young women. So, for us it’s not enough for camfed to be doing and for communities to be doing, make doing, and thriving. we believe that systems need to change and transform to enable the most marginalized to go to school. By combining practical skills in health, finance, and entrepreneurship with leadership development, this program creates lasting pathways for young women to thrive and become catalysts for change in their communities.
