The Multi Scale Nature Of The Resilience Measurement Framework And The Resilience research is hindered by inconsistent definitions, operationalizations, and assessments. this study systematically reviewed resilience measurement tools (i.e. resilience scales) published between 2013 and 2024 and developed a unified construct within a standardized framework of resilience factors. In this review, key resilience dimensions (kds), as well as the related objective indicators, are defined through the review of the resilience literature, from 1970 to the present day. here, 21 different resilience dimensions, along with the indicators to assess them, have been extracted.

The Multi Scale Nature Of The Resilience Measurement Framework And The The framework used to develop the scales was designed to capture the multidimensional nature of resilience, including its economic, environmental, and social domains. In this document, the importance and the challenges related to the measurement of resilience across and between scales is discussed. The concept of resilience has been used in a variety of ways with increasing focus at the world bank. yet resilience is defined and understood in different ways, leading to sometimes unclear and unsystematic operational approaches. The broad diversity of approaches indicates the multi disciplinary nature of resilience measurement, and this is reflected in the selected frameworks reviewed in this study.

Resilience Framework At Multiple Scales Including Feedback Loops The concept of resilience has been used in a variety of ways with increasing focus at the world bank. yet resilience is defined and understood in different ways, leading to sometimes unclear and unsystematic operational approaches. The broad diversity of approaches indicates the multi disciplinary nature of resilience measurement, and this is reflected in the selected frameworks reviewed in this study. As an attempt to scale up the context dependent nature of any resilience measurement, we propose a meta framing of resilience principles to seek consistency across the approaches. Considerable efforts have been made to understand and describe the resilience concept and its relationship to risk, and the purpose of the present paper is to contribute to this work by arguing that to analyse and manage resilience, risk considerations and assessments can provide useful input. It is against this backdrop that we propose a forward looking agenda for resilience measurement, summarized in box 1 — one that can foster robust, verifiable and credible evidence on what works. We operationalize resiliency as one’s ability to maintain adaptive functioning in response to the ongoing, chronic stress of daily living, and we use a novel resiliency measure that assesses the target components of an evidence based resiliency intervention.
