The Human Library Project University Announcements The human library® is, in the true sense of the word, a library of people. we host events where readers can borrow human beings serving as open books and have conversations they would not normally have access to. The next human library was hosted in oslo, norway, by ronni abergel for the nordic minister councils youth assembly "unge i norden". the event was prepared in partnership with terese mungai foyn and went on to inspire the establishment of the norwegian human library program in 2003.
The Human Library Organization Don T Judge A Book By Its Cover The human library was founded in 2000 at roskilde festival in denmark, but the unique concept has now spread to 80 countries around the world. each event invites visitors to “unjudge someone” by engaging in 30 minute conversations with a diverse range of human “books.”. Known as the human library (menneskebiblioteket in danish), this project invites people to “borrow” other people instead of books—real individuals with unique life experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives.
