Top 10 Books I Ve Read So Far This Year While i haven’t been writing a lot recently, i’ve definitely been reading. so, i’m here to reflect on all of the books i’ve picked up this year and reveal the best and worst so far. I've made it through 30 books on my reading list this year, some recent, others years old. between work, raising three sons and keeping up a social life, that's not half bad in nine months, if i say so myself. So, since we’re halfway through 2025, i thought i’d share the best books i’ve read this year so far. some are new, others are just new to me—but they’re all books i thoroughly enjoyed. So far this year, i've read just over 100 books, including short stories, hefty fantasies and eye opening memoirs, as well as a healthy dose of romance novels.
The Best Books I Ve Read So Far This Year So, since we’re halfway through 2025, i thought i’d share the best books i’ve read this year so far. some are new, others are just new to me—but they’re all books i thoroughly enjoyed. So far this year, i've read just over 100 books, including short stories, hefty fantasies and eye opening memoirs, as well as a healthy dose of romance novels. For today’s blog post, we’re focusing on the books i’ve read since the beginning of 2025 but rather than just sharing a recap of the books, i figured i would rank them in order from the books i loved most to those i didn’t find as enjoyable to read. The good news, though, is i’ve already read so many incredible books this year, and there are plenty more to come! out of the 50 books i’ve finished so far in 2025, here are the five that have stuck with me the most. If you read one book from this list, make it james. critically hailed as one of the year’s essential reads, appearing on nearly every major ‘best of the year’ list, james was shortlisted for the 2024 booker prize and has since won the 2025 pulitzer prize for fiction. I’m excited to share my best books i’ve read so far in 2025, along with a mid year reading update. my goal is to read 80 books this year (not counting all the children’s books i share with you), and i’m right on track.
