Sold New Astro City Cab North Jersey Arcade Projects Forums Astro city (アストロシティ) is a multi purpose arcade cabinet manufactured by sega in 1993 as a successor to the aero city cabinet. the astro city is a refined version of the aero city, offering roughly the same features as its predecessor. The main body is made of fibreglass which has the advantage of not denting, although isn't quite as tough as a city or aero city cab. however, everything inside is easy to access and there is a plenty of room trust me this is a good thing. As iconic and popular as sega's astro city arcade cabinet was when it launched in 1993, i'd honestly never heard of it until this mini was announced for japanese release a few months ago at the time of writing! that said, it turned out that while it's name wasn't familiar to me, its very functional…. The interior of the cab was super clean, and although a few cable retainers came off it was very easy. i took lots of pictures of the grounding cables to make sure i can put it back together.
