Tahmo
Home Tahmo Tahmo delivers end to end support for the deployment, operation, and sustainability of meteorological and hydrometeorological monitoring stations in diverse environments. Tahmo creates advanced wearable and connected medical devices to enhance patient care and monitoring. our wearable devices monitor health metrics, providing real time data for better patient outcomes and insights.
Technical Information Tahmo Tahmo started out with the somewhat simplistic ambition to build a network of 20,000 weather stations in africa, a density comparable to that of europe. after 10 years of cooperation, projects and interactions with many types of stakeholders, our ambition is now more nuanced. The pm 2.5 data were obtained from 58 calibrated low cost sensor devices provided by airqo between january 2020 and december 2022, while the meteorological data was obtained from 6 weather stations from the trans african hydro meteorology observatory (tahmo). Interested in buying a tahmo weather station? monitoring africa’s environment is an important challenge if the continent’s resources are to be used in an optimal and sustainable manner. The trans african hydro meteorological observatory (tahmo) is a not for profit organisation that provides institutional weather and climate data across subsaharan africa.
News Tahmo Interested in buying a tahmo weather station? monitoring africa’s environment is an important challenge if the continent’s resources are to be used in an optimal and sustainable manner. The trans african hydro meteorological observatory (tahmo) is a not for profit organisation that provides institutional weather and climate data across subsaharan africa. The pm2.5 data were obtained from 58 calibrated low cost sensor devices provided by airqo between january 2020 and december 2022, while the meteorological data was obtained from 6 weather stations from the trans african hydro meteorology observatory (tahmo). The trans african hydro meteorological observatory (tahmo) aims to develop a vast network of weather stations across africa. current and historic weather data is important for agricultural, climate monitoring, and many hydro meteorological applications. This dataset contains daily precipitation observations from the tahmo station network that have been rigorously cleaned and quality controlled for analysis and model evaluation. The trans african hydro meteorological observatory (tahmo) will empower local communities and vulnerable agriculturists across uganda with an innovative early warning weather system for severe weather across the drought prone cattle corridor, the accident prone areas of lake victoria, kyoga, and wamala, and uganda’s flash flood prone highlands.
