Solved Switch Network Redundancy Cisco Community I’ve been using it as top of rack switch. we have small environment of ±200 users and there are 3 esxi servers connected to this switch and my palo alto firewall is also directly connected through 2 port ether channel acting as router on stick with 8 vlans. My requirement is to provide fully redundant lan. that means pcs are connected with one switch if that fails their connection will not have any down time means they will connect with any other switch to keep on communicating in lan. Hi there, i am trying achieve some form of redundancy using existing 3750 & a 2960 switches. these are active switches but are not currently setup for redundancy. find attach diagram is my idea of achieving some redundancy however i am not sure if the current switches (3750 & 2960) will support this setup. that is where i need some advise on. If the main link is down or disconnected, then the port that was blocked will be opened by the switch, so that data from the sending computer will pass redundant.

This article explores the core concepts of redundancy and resiliency in cisco networks, their significance, and how cisco technologies enable businesses to build robust, always on. Solved: hello, i need help figuring out what kind of topology i should configure between two switches. my goal is to have a redundant trunk that all vlans would pass over until the link is lost. This page contains information about switch redundancy and management technology. This is just my opinion on it , but i would have at least a 10gb card in each switch for the up downlinks to the 10gb hp switches to match the lan if possible as its already 10gb and that will future proof the speed for long time , you could even run port channels down to the access forextra throughput , other cards could be 1gb.
