The key role of decent work for all in achieving sustainable development is highlighted by sustainable development goal 8 which aims to “promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all”. decent work, employment creation, social protection, rights at work and social dialogue represent integral elements of the new 2030. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. the 17 goals are all interconnected,. While conflict, climate disruption, economic instability, and rising geopolitical tensions have placed the promise of the goals in peril, we can still turn things around by 2030. In june 1992, at the earth summit in rio de janeiro, brazil, more than 178 countries adopted agenda 21, a comprehensive plan of action to build a global partnership for sustainable development.
