Summer Reading Program La Jolla Library At the riverside public library, summer reading started june 5 and ends aug. 2. the program, which is open to all ages, asks participants to keep a log of each day they read by filling in drawings of literal wooden logs. The summer reading program at the riverside public library kicks off on saturday, june 1! all ages (children, teens, and adults!) are welcome to join in the fun by reading, attending performances, and participating in weekly activities at all eight library locations from june 1 – august 2. You must be entering grades 6 12 in fall 2025 to volunteer at the library over the summer. registration has closed. summer reading teen volunteer applications will be available starting the week of march 24. all potential volunteers must fill out an application and attend a volunteer training.
