Summer Reading Program Flora Public Library Every summer, the flora public library hosts a summer reading program for area children and adults. the purpose of the program is to prevent summer slide. summer slide is the term used when a child loses knowledge and skills gained in the last school year over summer break. The library also provides a dial a story service, fax machine, color copier, weekly pre school story hour, computer and internet classes, special programming for adults, and a summer reading program for adults, teens, and children.
