The theme for our event is the power of women in stem. as an all women’s college, we find it imperative to address the incredible accomplishments that women bring to the stem world, and our hope for this event is to spread those accomplishments. Dr. melyssa minto, a bioinformatics scientist, specializes in integrative multi omic analyses, neurobiology, and epigenomics. her current projects utilize genomic data to explore human health, particularly gene networks in substance use disorders. 1st year student in the computational biology and bioinformatics phd program at duke university. i hold a b.s. in biology and a b.s. in mathematics from meredith college. i am seeking to expand.
