Some cool abilities that do damage and are not gimmicks, could be doing something with magic boilt and the magic arrow version of that, the classic shooting one arrow into the air and then making a hundred rain down. this would be a cool burst of damage which could help us deal with elite enemies. I played back when the game had old fusion system. the game had so many drastic changes. i like how the current system is, hopefully there won't be any more big changes in the future. But magic bolt (split into doppelganger) is extremely strong vs many low health enemies and spirit (magic blade) is really strong vs small fast moving enemies. i would also argue that some magic which are weak on its own can be extremely strong when combined with certain combination of magic.
