By integrating these two approaches, the study aims to thoroughly understand the current state of community empowerment research while highlighting areas that warrant further investigation. From participatory budgeting in european cities to community based research on environmental justice in north america, these approaches recognize that all communities deserve genuine involvement in decisions affecting their futures.
