For this reason,remote rural communities are forced to be more self reliant than their urbancounterparts, both in terms of preparing for, and responding to, disasters.

Hence, this study examines community resilience efforts in the absence of central authority, within myanmar's complex political landscape, providing insights into effective disaster resilience strategies.
