I've organized 12 smoothie wars tournaments ranging from 8 player local events to 64 player regional championships. i've made every organizational mistake possible (double booking venues, miscalculating round timings, forgetting scoresheets), learned from them, and refined the process. Tell us the amount of each ingredient you used in measurements. tell us exactly how you made the smoothie, for example: cut the mango into bite size cubes and put in blender. at the bottom of the box put the name of your smoothie. Students work in kitchen teams to create a “perfect” smoothie recipe to market to the public. students then have a competition day where the judges decide which smoothie will win! this activity includes student instructions, rubric, market order form, judges ballot, and teacher instructions.
