Raj Kiran Dhiman In this research, we propose smr charts that can be used to estimate the onsite smr class of a rock slope. the use of smr charts eliminates the derivation of f1, f2, and f3 parameters and directly estimates the smr class of rock slope in the field. In this paper, smr charts are developed for the onsite classification of rock slopes.

We propose the new continuous slope mass rating (smr) charts for easy calculation of smr class of rock slopes in the field. Cosmr tool can be used to generate graphical charts for onsite continuous slope mass rating (cosmr) classification using strike parallelism and joint dip or plunge of intersection at different slope dip angles (0 to 90 degrees) for planar wedge and toppling failure cases. Graphical charts for onsite continuous slope mass rating (cosmr) classification using strike parallelism and joint dip or plunge of intersection engineering geology. In this paper, a novel rmrb–cosmr plot is proposed that demonstrates various insights provided by plotting a pair of rmrb and cosmr data of adjacent road cut slopes from continuous road traverse. This chapter presents a new geomechanical classification for slopes in rock, the ‘slope mass rating’ (smr). smr can be very useful as a tool for the preliminary assessment of slope stability.
