One of their better segments. i agree with ebert: gene doesn't seem to understand what cronenberg is doing at all, though caveat crash is literally one of my favourite films 7 yrs 1. David cronenberg's film crash was released in europe in '96, was supposed to be released in the u.s. in the fall of '96, but ted turner personally tried to prevent the release of the film. Ebert has gotten so many movies terribly wrong. and not just wrong, but in his reviews he'd tear them apart. only to come come around when everyone else changed their minds. ebert hated uncle buck. i couldn’t forgive him for that. siskel was closer to the average viewer's sensibilities.
