Shook Co Op Program Shook Construction Shook’s robust co op program dates more than 40 years and offers students the opportunity to join leaders of all levels that got their start as a co op at shook, including our president & ceo chris halapy. Our spring co op term is coming to a bittersweet close. with 21 co ops across all four of our regions, we had their bright, prospective talent across various projects and departments where they gained valuable experience through diverse markets and phases of construction.

As part of our global mission trip program, shook construction sent 10 associates to wiang pa pao, thailand, in february 2024 to help build a new girls’ home that would house 12 children who have been rescued from trafficking, abuse, and more.

Shook is committed to doing our part to develop the workforce and support careers in construction. we partner with local school districts and universities to increase awareness of the trades and offer hands on experience through workshops, presentations, co op programs, etc. Fall 2024 co op semester in review as our fall 2024 co op term comes to a close, we’re celebrating the contributions of the 23 co ops who joined shook this semester. We are looking for students with a passion for learning about the commercial construction industry from the ground up. each semester, we hire a select group of students for paid co op positions. we expose our students to real world situations in both the field and office. Our co op program offers the opportunity to join leaders of all levels that got their start as a co op at shook, including our president and ceo, and includes training, mentorship, and a breadth of construction experience both on site and in the office.
