Sherman Lab Home Sherman visual lab is an online lab, created by dr. sherman (xing min, or xing min) wang (汪醒民), to share our thoughts and works on science, art, and education. thanks for visiting!. Composed of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of scientists, the sherman laboratory studies the biosynthesis of natural products from microbes that include cyanobacteria, actinomycetes, and myxobacteria.

The Sherman Lab Using and developing cutting edge systems biology approaches work in the sherman lab has illuminated unprecedented information in how tuberculosis senses its environment and parlays that information into an appropriate response. One goal of our laboratory is to augment the ability of t lymphocytes to respond to certain self antigens in order to eliminate tumor cells. to this end, we utilize a variety of transgenic murine models in order to study autoimmunity and tumor immunity. Our 300 millimeter semiconductor wafer fabrication site in sherman, texas will manufacture millions of analog and embedded processing chips daily that will go into electronics everywhere. To do this, we utilize a broad interdisciplinary approach, using mice as animal models and attempt to answer the same or closely related questions with several different techniques.

Sherman lab members lab leader david sherman, ph.d. research professor, u m life sciences institute. As a dynamic interdisciplinary team of scientists, the sherman laboratory studies the biosynthesis of natural products from terrestrial and marine microorganisms that include cyanobacteria, actinomycetes, and myxobacteria. David sherman and his daughter traveled to nepal in the search for microbes that produce beneficial molecules. a new class of anti biofilm compounds derived from marine microorganisms that show promise against a drug resistant bacterium commonly associated with hospital acquired infections. Sherman is performing molecular genetic analysis of natural products biosynthesis in marine cyanobacteria, actinomycetes and myxobacteria. he uses a diverse set of tools, including molecular genetic, biochemical and bioorganic chemical studies.
