Shadowrun Feels Reblogging everything that gives me that "goddamn this is what the 80's thought the future would look like" feels. It’s not an open world, open ended game. there is a main detective plot that you follow, but that story feels very much like shadowrun.

Shadowrun Feels If shadowrun isn’t the one and only cyberpunk rpg on the super nintendo, it joins a very small list, which makes it a unique experience. still, shadowrun is ambitious and has a lot of good things it implements, but feels burdened by being on an early 90s console. Today we have the tech, but we lost that raw, punk edge of fighting a system that felt like an immovable god. it’s a setting built on the 'anxiety of the unknown,' and that’s why it still resonates. Gming shadowrun is the feeling of being constantly overwhelmed and completely unable to find any answers instantly at a split second finger tip that my group desperately needs. i just feel like i am not good enough, that it takes a better calibre dm to be able to run shadowrun. Feels good, and they can get paid in budding contacts in a good hearted group of their choice. nothing says you're the good guys quite like having a contact list full of them for allies.

Best super nintendo game. me and my buddy still talk about it to this day, and i played it just a few years back using an emulator. i felt like cyberpunk was a modern, aaa version of shadowrun. I played anarchy relatively recently, and it was a blast. however, the mechanisms to streamline the game felt out of place. buying equipment with shadow amps and not counting bullets feels more at home in a superhero game than it does in a gritty, high tech cyberpunky game. My oldest surviving runner has awakened twice. he consciously "missed" his first awakening to adept, because it occurred during a wasp spirit attack (chicago, during bug city) and he doesn't have much memory of the event due to trauma. I guess i'm trying to find what makes people remember runs and what makes people love shadowrun, which i know varies person to person, but the more ideas and suggestions i have the more i can try to blend them in and make as flavorful an experience as possible.
