Shading Tutorial Weasyl Since a lot of folks have asked me how i give my characters such a 3 dimensional look, i decided to make a quick tutorial showing how i shade. i shade all my 'simple shaded' pieces using this method. I hope to put together a walk through bundle with a bunch of tutorials in my store shortly but it might be a little bit before that happens just because they do take quite a while to do.

This is a little tutorial about how to paint in cell shading style (at least the way i do it). i chose this format this time because it quite more practical to have every instructions and examples in just one place instead having them in a flash archive. This is a tutorial on doing the shine effect on latex. i decided to do two different shading styles for latex. #1 has a much more natural lighting effect, while #2 has more of a different style that was inspired by spotty the cheetah. 1 here you have the line art. 2 now you see the flat color. 3 i'd just removed the flat colors so i can concentrate on the first cell shading layer 4 now i added the second layer of cell shading. 5 i decided to add a third layer. 6 now you get all the cell shading layers with with the fat col….
